  • J Terrain Pro is a high-tech alpine helmet from Everest that is equipped with several safety features for maximum protection. The shell is made of durable polycarbonate and has a shock-absorbing EPS foam inner, with a soft lining in 50% bamboo. The integrated NFC Medical ID chip makes it easy to store contact and medical information so that emergency personnel can get as much vital information as possible in the event of an accident. The chip (function symbol on the helmet) can be read via the ”twICEme” app, which is freely available for download. The helmet is designed with six variably adjustable vent openings with internal air ducts, which together provide effective temperature regulation, and the helmet’s fit can easily be adjusted using the adjustment at the neck. The magnetic Fidlock buckle allows one-handed operation, even with gloves on. This not only provides a secure fastening, but can also easily be opened by sliding the buckle sideways. In addition, the cushioned ear pads and padded chin strap provide superior all-day comfort on the slopes. Last but not least, the helmet is equipped with the market-leading MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System), which has been developed to provide added protection against the rotational movements transmitted to the brain during angled impacts. An angled impact is the most common cause of falls, whether from a bicycle, skis, horse, etc. Rotational movements are a combination of rotational energy and rotational forces from angular acceleration that both affect the brain and increase the risk of both minor and more severe brain injuries. When installed into a helmet, the MIPS security system has proven to lower the rotational movement by redirecting energies and forces which would otherwise be transferred to the brain. As a rule, the helmet must be replaced after an external impact, such as an accident.
